Just cruising around Etsy today and thought I'd share a few of my favorite things.

Felt Book http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=23059203 She has some for boys too, and they are super cute. She sells the patterns if you don't think you could make one on your own.

Fairy Bed http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?ref=fp_feat_3&listing_id=18999276 Only in my dreams, but isn't this photo to die for? I would wake up happy as a clam every morning if this were my bed!

Oh, and by the way, this is the last post you'll be getting from me for a while...my husband is graduating, we're moving to a new state, we're going on vacation, and I'm running a half marathon. So no time for crafting. It's going to be a busy month!

Baby Shower Bouquet

It's that time of year...is it just me or do you feel like everyone you know is having a baby? Well, that's fine by me because I love baby showers! I went to one this morning and here's the present I gave: It's a burp cloth bouquet! And the burp cloths look like lollipops. So fun! I saw something similar on Etsy and fell in love with it, so this is my rendition.

Here's what the burp cloths looked like before they were turned into lollipops. They're made of flannel.

A Good Pair

Remember this candle pedestal that I got for 50 cents at a yard sale this past weekend?

I paired it with this cheese platter thing I found at Salvation Army (notice the nasty dust and oil all over the glass. Ew!):

With a few coats of glossy black paint and a little hot glue, I now have a really cool serving platter thing:

Not bad, not bad. Wouldn't fancy cupcakes or some gooey chocolate chip cookies look amazing displayed inside? Or maybe I'll use it to hold seasonal decorations of some sort. I don't know. Either way, I think I'm in love!

Yard Sale Loot

Today was a great yard sale day! I brought my friend Megan along with me and we found some real treasures. Here's what I came home with:

Lamp-$3: Isn't it sweet? I think I'll change out the ribbon and repaint the flower-shaped pull to match my daughter's room.

Candlestick pedestal-50 cents: I've been looking for one just this size. I have big plans for it. Just wait and see.

Black and white bowl-$1: This one was kind of a splurge. (I know, how cheapskate-ish to feel like a whole buck was a "splurge"). But I LOVE it too much to have left it behind. It'll look great in my kitchen somewhere and will help me add to the black/white/green thing I've got going.

Three apothecary jars-$2: One of these had ancient candy canes in them. The lady told me I could have the candy for free. Yeah, um....nasty! Those went straight into the garbage. One of them is actually plastic, which I didn't realize until I got it home. Oh well. The other two are the perfect size to go with one jar I already have. I'll show you where they end up when I get them the way I want!

And the best deal of the day...

Brown shower curtain-25 cents: Yeah baby! When I asked how much the guy wanted and he said 25 cents, I quietly gave him my quarter and waited until I was out of earshot to squeal in delight. I wanted to do a cartwheel! The fabric is gorgeous...it's got little pleated stripes and is so shiny and luxurious. It may or may not be used as a shower curtain, but for a quarter? Oh, the possibilities!!!

Of course I got a bunch of children's clothes too. Didn't pay more than 50 cents for any one piece and I got some really nice things. All in all, it was a fantastic day!

*Sigh* I love garage sales.
